So, in light of my recent musings I have discovered something. I am very very extroverted (for those of you who have no idea what that means, comment, and I'll explain). I am definitely defined as a strong extrovert, I talk, A LOT, especially about myself, cut people off in conversation, am very outgoing and bubbly, and tend to blurt things out that should technically never be said. Those seem negative, extroverts are not all negative. However, being fully on the extrovert team I have to admire those other odd balls, the introverts. I think that in some area's (most in my case) I am quite jealous of the introvert team because I want all those qualities too! I want to be able to think before I speak, that would sure save me a lot of grief! Introverts wake up in the morning with a full "bucket" and by the time they get home at the end of the day their bucket is empty and they want to be ALONE! Us extroverts, however, wake up with an empty bucket, and by the end of the day it is full to over brimming. This is why I would like to challenge the fact that Extroverts almost ALWAYS marry Introverts! Why? Is it God's cruel joke to us tiny humans? I mean think about it, both arrive home at the same time, extrovert chatting away, while the introvert grunts out some non committal responses. Or, they are going to a party. The introvert can't wait to get there and then get out, but the extrovert is dragging their feet, not wanting to go. BUT, when at the party, the extrovert never wants to leave while the introvert is standing by the door desperately wanting to make eye contact with his wife, ready to make a run for it at any second. I find this extraordinarily funny, especially since I have the pleasure of viewing it every single day from the position of a daughter of two truly delightful parents. One who knows them can only guess which one is which. Anyway, food for thought. I hope you enjoy my ramblings!
